Steve Mowery

Mr. Mowery and his wife, Joy, were missionaries from 1987-1990 working with the indigenous leaders and laity of Bahamas Holy Bible Mission at Black Point, Exuma. Bonding with those precious friends at Black Point as well as at Nassau has enriched their lives through keeping in touch with them over the years. They are proud of the Bahamians shouldering the responsibilities of church work. Mr. Mowery has been the Director of Missions at Penn View Bible Institute for 22 years. He primarily trains missionaries to do effective mission outreach while developing a solid, biblical missiology. His students and mission graduates span the world as servant leaders of Christ, several of whom serve with Hope International Missions. Mr. Mowery co-founded the Summer Institute for Missions Orientation with Dr. Leroy Adams. This ministry impacts new mission recruits as well as veteran missionaries regarding the issues of mission ministries.

Mr. Mowery has been married for 27 years to the former Joy Witter. Together they have three children (Allen, Alyssa, and Caleb all of whom excel in arts of one kind or another. They have two grandchildren.
