A word from Glenn & Stephanie Gault
Our ministry in Lesotho involves working together with a national church group to start new churches, train pastors, and promote child evangelism. We also help with management and maintenance at a rural clinic. In addition to our responsibilities in Lesotho, we are involved with the Bible distribution work in Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Zambia.

Me Mapheko
Please pray especially for Me Mapheko. After several weeks of being much better, she is quite sick again. She is suffering from terrible headaches. Please hold her up in prayer!

Answers to prayer
- 'Me Mapheko's health is gradually improving. She is not yet able to return to her job, but she is able to do light house work, go to church, etc. Praise the Lord for this! Please continue praying for her complete healing.
- Praise the Lord for a good one-day ladies' conference this past Saturday.
- Shelby Tollett was a tremendous blessing during the two months he was here. Thank the Lord for all the things that he got done in a short time!
- Volunteers from the church have almost finished building the last two walls around the conference center. Praise God!

From the Gaults in Lesotho
- Pieter and Hester Marais have been in Zambia and Botswana on the Bible distribution trip since the beginning of June. For several weeks they have been struggling to transfer money between banks in Zambia and Namibia. Please pray for them and this situation!
- Mr. Howard, HIM's Africa Regional Director, is planning to visit the field the third week of August. Please pray for safety as he travels and wisdom from God as we hold meetings and discuss the work here.
- We will be traveling home to America for furlough and deputation on the 22nd of August. We have a very long list of things to do before we leave. Please help us pray for strength and wisdom to get everything done.
- Pray that God would revive us missionaries and the national leaders. We need a fresh touch!
We depend on your prayer support. Thanks for being so faithful!

Bibles distributed, revival
- Join us in praising the Lord for the 10,000 Bibles that were distributed in the Southern Province of Zambia. Pieter and Hester Marais and the teams who are with them will likely finish distributing the remaining Bibles in the next week or so.
- The congregation at Ha Mokhachane is reporting a great revival. One of the pastors who visited recently described how people from all over came streaming to the church on Sunday. This is clearly the work of the Holy Spirit. The little portable tin church they are meeting in is much too small.

New converts, pastors, VBS
- Please pray for new converts in Lesotho. Many of them face persecution for their new-found faith. Last night we heard about a girl from the Ha Hlalele congregation who was kidnapped and forced to marry a man from the Roman Catholic Church. The purpose of this marriage is to persuade the girl to renounce her salvation and return to the Catholic Church. Since the girl is an orphan, there is no immediate family to assist her. A similar thing happened two weeks ago to the neighbor girl who lives behind us. Fortunately her mother is still alive and the evil plan did not succeed.
- Continue praying for the pastors in Lesotho and South Africa. Satan mounts incredible challenges against them, their marriages, families, and jobs to try to keep them from effective service in God's Kingdom. Especially pray for the Roma congregation in Lesotho which has no pastor at the moment.
- Stephanie and the congregation at Matukeng will be holding a VBS next week here at the clinic compound. Please pray that the lives of children will be touched with the Gospel. Also pray for 'Me Mantseke and the others who will be teaching the children.

Praise God!
- Praise God for a wonderful weekend revival at Ha Motheho. The congregations from Ha Hlalele, Ha Setho, and Matukeng joined the people from Ha Motheho for the weekend. Several Christians got spiritual help, and some new people got saved!
- Shelby Tollet from Alabama is visiting us from the end of May to the end of July. Praise God for the tremendous help he has been already!
- The new congregation at Ha Setho is growing both spiritually and in numbers. Praise God for the progress!

Annual Bible distribution, more
- Please pray much for the annual Bible distribution trip. Pieter and Hester Marais are already in Zambia with a team. Glenn and Shelby leave for two weeks with four other people on Friday. Please hold them up in prayer! Altogether five teams will be helping the Marais' distribute 15,000 Bibles this year in the Choma area of Zambia.
- Keep praying for 'Me Mapheko!
- Pray for Stephanie, Kaitlyn, and Kristell who are staying behind.
- Continue to pray for the work in Lesotho. Especially pray for the pastors.

Orphan Update - Lesotho
The orphan problem in Lesotho is overwhelming! The population of the country is in decline, the adult population of some villages has been completely wiped out, and more than 25% of children in Lesotho have already lost at least one of their parents. Our hearts are torn by the tragedy of three-year-olds who are HIV positive and twelve-year-olds who must assume the role of mother or father to their younger siblings. We do our best to help in the most urgent situations we meet, but the main focus of the ministry God has called us to is planting new churches and training leaders. For every orphan we help, we pass by scores more who are just as needy. We could only pray that God would send another missionary specifically called to minister to orphans.
God has answered that prayer by calling Rachel Cutler to Lesotho. In February, she visited HIM and is now under appointment as an HIM missionary. We are looking forward to her arrival in Lesotho sometime in 2011. Rachel, her parents (former missionaries to Lesotho), and her sister Anna visited us in Lesotho over Christmas. While they were here, we could clearly see God's call in Rachel's life and her talent to love and minister to children. We are looking forward to expanding HIM's ministry to orphans and needy children in Lesotho with her help. Currently she is finishing a four year degree at Union Bible College and will graduate this spring. Please pray that God will help her and bless her as she finishes her academic preparation and then begins deputation later this year.

Tent meetings and Christmas Conference
- When we last wrote, we asked you to pray for tent meetings at Matukeng and Ha Teko (neighboring villages where we live.) The two weeks the tent was at Matukeng, people didn't respond well, but when we moved the tent to Ha Teko several people got spiritual help there. Some are coming to church regularly in spite of persecution from their families.
- We had a good Christmas Conference. God worked in the hearts of people, and I noticed several people who received spiritual help. One lady who had been backslidden for several years attended the conference and responded to an invitation to seek the Lord. Two teenage boys that we've been praying for since they were small children went with us and enjoyed the conference.

Pastors, staff
- Please continue to pray for the pastors and the church as a whole. Some are really struggling, and Satan is taking advantage of the situation to cause division and destruction.
- Please pray for a weekend tent meeting at Ha Thafeng this coming weekend (22nd to the 24th of January). Also pray for Bro. Teboho, who has just started pastoring this new congregation.
- Pray for our refrigerator! It stopped working the first week of January and is still in the shop for repairs. Since we don't have electricity, it runs using propane and is prone to problems.
-
Please pray for Rebecca Fetzer who just arrived last week to volunteer at the school in Ladybrand for three months

Pastors' Retreat, report on Kristell
We are so thankful for your prayers regarding the pastors' retreat last weekend. God's presence was very close, and many found spiritual help. A highlight for me (Glenn) was a message that a Zulu pastor preached on "What Happens When We See Jehovah" from Isaiah chapter six. The call to holiness was clear and powerful. It was a good opportunity for all of us to examine and re-commit our lives entirely to the Lord. God clearly answered prayer!
We also ask you to join us in praising God that Kristell got a very good report from the pediatrician. After examining the MRI of her brain, the doctor told us that, by the grace of God, there is absolutely know sign of brain damage or bleeding. We praise God for this miracle!

2009-11-23 prayer
Tent meeting, tabernacle
- Please continue to pray for the pastors! Satan is still fighting hard, and we need God's continued help.
- We plan to begin a tent meeting in the village of Ha Teko close to Matukeng tomorrow (Monday). Please intercede that souls will respond to the Gospel invitation. Pray for the pastors and all those who take part in the services.
- The building work at the tabernacle is continuing. Please pray for the volunteeers who are doing the work. Also pray that God will give the Christians in Lesotho a spirit of sacrificial giving so that more material may be purchased the the work may continue.

God is working!
- Thank you so much for praying for the funeral of the man who was killed over grazing land. God helped both in the funeral and in the villages. The problems are not completely solved, but until now there has been no revenge. We believe this is a clear answer to prayer.
- Last weekend the pastors held another weekend tent meeting revival. God moved on both the saved and the unsaved people of the villages. The results were encouraging. Many people sought the Lord.

Pastors' Retreat, Bible School
- Please pray for the pastors' retreat that HIM is holding in Lesotho this weekend. We really need a visit from the Holy Spirit! Satan is fighting the leaders hard, but we are trusting God for a fresh touch of revival this weekend.
- Remember the Bible School. Pray for the students and teachers. Right now I (Glenn) am teaching a Hermeneutics (Bible Interpretation) class. Pray that God will give me wisdom for this important class.
- We have begun to build the wall on one side of the tabernacle that we use for conferences. Please pray that God will help and bless the volunteers who are doing the work. Also pray for finances to continue the project.

Thank you for praying
Thank you so much for praying for the funeral. Though there was much talk of revenge, there were no problems during the service. God helped us a lot, and people listened well to the Gospel.
We are so grateful for your prayer support!

Upcoming funeral
About two weeks ago there was a fight over grazing land between our village and the neighboring village of Ha Teko. There were no serious injuries in the actual fight, but later in the day a man from Matukeng was passing through Ha Teko and was killed out of revenge and anger. Our church has been asked to hold his funeral this Sunday morning.
Please pray:
- For our safety. Tensions are still running high between the villages.
- That the fighting and killing between these two villages will stop.
- That people at the funeral will respond to the message of the Gospel.

2009-10-19 prayer
Howards here for meetings
Please pray for us a lot through this coming week. Mr. and Mrs. Howard (our Regional Directors) are here for meetings. Pray that God will fill each meeting with His presence and that He will clearly guide us in His will for the decisions that we are making. Also pray for them as they minister to missionaries, pastors, and congregations in Lesotho and South Africa.

2009-10-12 praise
Revival!
- Revival continues in the congregations at Matukeng and Ha Motheho. The spiritual growth is obvious!
- The annual youth conference was blessed with God's presence. Many of the youth commented on the spirit of unity that they felt this year. Satan has sowed seeds of discord throughout the church, but we are so encouraged to see the youth taken steps to "keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."

2009-10-12 prayer
Upcoming meetings and pastors' retreat
- Mr. & Mrs. Howard (HIM Africa regional director) are on their way to visit the field and hold important meetings with us missionaries and the pastors. Please pray that these meetings will be filled with God's presence, and that we will have clear, Divine guidance for every decision that is made.
- Pray for upcoming evangelistic tent meetings. Right now we are having very rainy weather. We're thankful for the rain, but as soon as the weather is better we will start the tent meetings.
- HIM is planning a retreat for pastors the second weekend of November. Please pray for every aspect of this retreat — an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the pastors, the speakers, arrangement for accommodations, finances, etc. Satan is fighting hard against the leaders of the church. Pray that God will use this three-day retreat to bring revival.

2009-10-06 praise
Kristell doing well
- Kristell got an excellent report from her pediatrician at her six week check up. The best news to us was that the doctor did not see even any subtle signs of brain damage. On Monday this week she had an appointment with an eye doctor. He also said that everything is normal in her eyes. We thank God for these miracles!
- A wonderful spirit of revival pervades the services at Matukeng and Ha Motheho. The congregations are holding prayer meetings every evening in preparation for evangelistic tent meetings in October. God has been working in all of our lives preparing us to take the Gospel to the villages around us.
- By God's help the Bible School is going on. The students are making progress, and there is a good spirit among them.

2009-10-06 prayer
Pastors and congregations in Lesotho
- Please pray much for the pastors and congregations in Lesotho! Satan is working hard to destroy, divide, and tear down because many people have come to the Lord. Please pray that God will intervene!
- Mr. & Mrs. Howard (HIM Africa Regional Director) will be with us in October for meetings. Please pray that God will bless these meetings and guide them according to His will.
- Please pray with us for upcoming tent meetings and evangelistic outreaches.

Orphan Update - from Africa
Our orphan pig project is finally making progress! The one remaining sow had a litter of 10 healthy piglets a couple weeks ago. (Only seven of them are pictured.) Already people from the surrounding villages have agreed to buy five or six of them for $50 apiece. The church committee has agreed that most of the money from the sale of these piglets will be reinvested into the project, and with the next litter, we will help the orphans start their own pig projects.

Kristell is home!
Kristell got home from the hospital on August 19. We stayed in Bloemfontein with the Louws until yesterday (August 31). Now we are back to "home sweet home" in Lesotho. Kristell is doing very well and gaining weight quickly. Thank you so much for praying for this miracle!

2009-09-01 prayer
Orphans, Brother Tilo
- The orphans' pig finally had piglets! At times we were ready to give up on this project, but by God's help it finally seems to be going somewhere. We already have promises to buy four of the ten piglets. Pray that they all stay healthy and that we get a good price for them.
- We would appreciate your continued prayers for Kristell. A cold or flu could easily end her back in the hospital. Please pray that God will keep her healthy and give us wisdom to care for her well.
- Bro. Tilo, a young man who served the church in Lesotho faithfully as a pastor, was given a scholarship by the government of Lesotho to study to be a doctor at medical school in Nigeria about a year ago. He recently texted me that the scholarship has been withdrawn. He will be forced to return to Lesotho unless he can find another scholarship. Will you please pray that God's will be done in this situation and that God will give Bro. Tilo grace to accept whatever happens.
- Please continue to pray for the pastors and the church in Lesotho. We really need miracles and lots of wisdom for the problems we are facing!
