Catastrophic Earthquake Rocks Haiti |

ON JANUARY 12, 2010, at 4:53pm, a 7.0 earthquake shook Port-au-Prince, Haiti. There is much devastation. We have not yet been able to reach contacts for our orphanage there. We anticipate many expenses related to this catastrophe. Please pray for the people in Haiti and for wisdom as we assess the situation.
HIM has a school and mission house in Grand Riviere and a church and orphanage in Port-au-Prince. Pastor Rodriguez and Pastor Dominique are our national workers with whom we are unable to make contact at this time. At right is a photo of HIM Caribbean Regional Director Frank Vaughn and some of the children at the orphange in Port-au-Prince before the disaster.
