 A word from Frank Vaughn

We work along with the Field Directors, National Pastors, teachers and other leaders throughout the Caribbean region to see souls come into the kingdom of Christ. Our goal is to help the nationals come to a place where they can be self-governing in regard to their churches, schools and other works.

Orphan Update - Haiti

The orphan children in Haiti are all moved to Grand Riviere, but are living in very crowded conditions. The cooking facility is outside covered by a tarp. When it rains, it is very hard to fix the meals for the children. Our first work team did much to help make the house more livable. We were also blessed to have Mike & Daryl Hobbs with us in Haiti for a week. Daryl was able to give physicals to all the children at the orphanage. Our total goal for the Haiti Relief Effort is $100,000 of which we have received $44,000 to date. The funds will be used to remodel the home for the orphans, continue to provide food and water, medical needs, and other basic necessities for the refugees and orphans. This will also help cover the cost of transportation, materials, and supplies.

Caribbean Ministries

AS A MISSIONARY, one has a variety of experiences. A young Haitian fellow came to me when I was a missionary in Haiti, asking if he could attend our school. At that point, we really did not have room, and we were somewhat low on funds. I did some checking and found that he had already begun his education by obtaining a book or two. He asked for help from anyone he thought could teach him. He was living with a non-family member because his mother’s new husband did not want him. The Lord laid it on my heart to help him however I could. I gave him a room in our house, some pencils, and some paper; but no books. He borrowed books and put himself completely into his studies. When the year ended, he was first in his class! We continued to help him, and he completed high school, Bible College, and two years of Seminary. He is currently a teacher in his village and assists in his church. God has blessed his life with a lovely family.

PURPOSE FOR EXISTENCE: It is the purpose of Caribbean Ministries – Turks & Caicos Islands, Haiti, Bahamas, and US Caribbean – to cultivate our churches to grow and reproduce.

MISSION STATEMENT: Our mission is to provide leadership and necessary materials to all the locations in our responsibility throughout the Caribbean.

VISION: It is our desire, with the help of the Lord, to establish churches which are mission minded and want to follow the way of holiness.

GOALS: Our objectives for the fields of the Caribbean are:

  • Haiti: To have a missionary couple go to Haiti and help with changes we would like to see in that country
  • Turks & Caicos Islands: To establish a central office which could reach out to the Caribbean region
Bahamas: To host, with the help of Rev. Frankie Scott (HIM pastor on Nassau) an area missions conference; and to host (on the island of Andros) pastors, couples, families, men, women, mother/daughter, and father/son retreats. We are in need of a missionary couple to work on Andros.
  • US Caribbean: To help each of the churches in the US become established, form a bond, and work together

STRATEGIC KINDS OF MINISTRIES

  • Establish leadership training, children’s ministries, and youth programs in our existing churches
  • Plant new churches in new countries

GEOGRAPHICAL AREAS OF MINISTRY: Haiti, Turks & Caicos Islands, The Bahamas, US. Our future plans are to establish churches in the Dominican Republic and Martinique.
