A word from Jim Howard
Our work as Director for the African field is primarily to serve as a liaison between missionaries and the home office, as well as representing the interests of HIM to the field. Additional responsibilities include missionary recruitment, assisting with missionary placement on the field, and annual visits to the field. I also serve as the Chairman of the Missions department and missionary flight training for Hobe Sound Bible College.

Africa Ministries
AT THE AGE of 12, Itumeleng started attending the Sunday school classes Stephanie Gault was holding at Matukeng. Two years later in 2004, she went to the annual youth conference where she was saved. Since then she has grown spiritually and is serving God with all her heart. Through her life and example, her mother was saved. Itumeleng is a valuable member of the church at Matukeng, leading services and singing in the choir. She speaks English well and has often interpreted for Glenn Gault and others in the services. In December 2008, she finished high school, and she is presently taking further English classes so she will be able to attend the National University of Lesotho. Itumeleng would like to pursue a degree in education. Remember this 19-year-old in your prayers as she continues to prepare to serve God. Pray also for HIM as we continue to train nationals for ministries in southern Africa!
OUR PURPOSE FOR EXISTENCE IN AFRICA: HIM Africa exists to serve the church of Jesus Christ in Africa. We do this by assisting the national church with the unfinished task of winning the lost, spreading God’s Word, educating children, equipping adults for leadership, helping to heal the sick, bind up the broken, and care for the orphans. We are working to be real, relevant, and right.
OUR MISSION IN AFRICA: HIM Africa exists to work along side of the National church in Africa to: evangelize, educate, edify, equip, enable the expansion of the church of Jesus Christ, and minister to all classes and ethnic people groups.
OUR VISION IN AFRICA: We envision helping to facilitate a church planting and equipping movement that will cover southern Africa.
OUR GOALS FOR THE NEXT 5-10 YEARS IN AFRICA: Within the next five years, we are planning to expand by establishing Christian Centers in the countries where we have held Bible distribution campaigns. Also within the next ten years, we are planning to help plant a network of churches that are self-governing, self-supporting, and self-propagating.
OUR STRATEGIC KINDS OF MINISTRIES IN AFRICA: Church planting, education (primary, secondary, and college diploma level), leadership training, clinics, care of the orphans, Bible distribution, translation projects, Bible study groups.
OUR GEOGRAPHICAL AREAS OF MINISTRIES IN AFRICA: Lesotho, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia.
