Asian Ministries

by Jeanne Schwartz

THE FIRST YEAR Dorthy Hsu and I went to China, it was Christmas time. Everything was new to me; there was very little “touch” of Christmas. After going to bed on Christmas Eve, we decided to sing some carols. We sang a few songs, and then we began to sing, O Holy Night. “When we came to the phrase, “Long lay the world in sin and error pining,” God the Holy Spirit came and broke my heart with the vision of this ancient country that had been waiting for Jesus for so long. Although they had been touched by a period of Christianity, they were still hungering for the peace of God. Passion for this country was born; through radio, preaching, teaching, literature, and tapes, we have tried, in our small way, to wake them up to Jesus and holiness.

PURPOSE FOR EXISTENCE: It is the purpose of the Asian Region to walk in any open door to take Jesus to the lost, edify any believers, and train disciples to reach their own people.

MISSION STATEMENT: Our purpose is to reach the lost through teaching, preaching, and any other culturally relevant manner that will lead believers into a life of holiness.

VISION STATEMENT: To see Asian people experience the person and character of Christ through personal revival and a biblical understanding of holy living.

Goals for the next 5-10 years
