Steps HIM Is Taking in Haiti
- We are making plans to transport our orphans from the streets of Port-Au-Prince to Grand Riviere. We have a house there, but it is not prepared to house the orphans. We need to prepare the house. We also will need to provide the orphans with food and bedding.
- We have a school at Grand Riviere that we will plan to prepare for refugee families. We will also need to make provision of food and bedding to these families.
- We are currently working on a medical team. More information will be forthcoming.
- Caribbean Director, Frank Vaughn, is planning to go back to Haiti on Thursday, January 21.
- What you can do: Money is needed for travel expenses, food, bedding, telephone communication, etc. We will purchase the needed supplies inside the country or purchase in Florida and transport through Missionary Flights International. You can donate online.
- We have two satellite phones and plan to establish communication with our national director. There will be ongoing costs to operate these phones.
- We will need work teams in the near future. We CANNOT take work teams into the country at this time.
We will update information as we obtain it. To learn how you can help, please contact our office at 772-546-1113 or e-mail us. You may also make a donation online.
